I AM

I have multiple talents. I love theater, but I am also a painter, politician and public speaker. All these talents come together to serve one purpose: To build bridges with groups made invisible to society because of fear, phobia, racism, discrimination and stigma.

OPEN

I received my hiv diagnosis in 1991. I can hardly describe what an effect this had on me at age 21, knowing there was no future for me back then. See me now at the age of 48, as a long-term hiv survivor and trans sexwork activist of colour!

Trans sexworkers, especially those of colour living with hiv, are the most stigmatized, discriminated people worldwide. Building bridges means sitting at the table where decisions are made, giving us a voice on sexwork, human trafficking and hiv prevention.
